Vick Insurance is Founded
George Vick opens Vick Insurance at the four corners of downtown Whitby
1952
Mowat Insurance Begins
Founded by Warren Mowat, a community leader and future mayor
1980–1983
New Brokerages Emerge
Bob Stroud and the Fennells establish their firms, adding to the growing local insurance community
1998
Four Firms Merge
Vick, Mowat, Stroud, and Fennell Insurance join forces to form
Stroud Meadwell Mowat & Fennell at 413 Dundas St. E, Whitby.
